Galvanizing is the process of applying a protective zinc coating on steel or iron to prevent rust. Commonly used galvanized products include Galvanized Steel Pipes, Galvanized Steel Coils, and galvanized steel sheets. The average life span of Galvanized Steel Pipe is 40-50 years. Galvanized steel will corrode over time, and it is almost impossible to tell from the outside that this is happening.
The following methods can help you find the problem:
1. There are rust marks around the pipe joints and rust spots on the pipe.
Brown water from tap water rust will eventually enter the water. This will be obvious if the water turns brown or rusted after being left for a long time. This is because the water stays in the pipeline long enough to accumulate enough rust to make it visible to the naked eye.
2. Lower than usual water pressure. Due to the accumulation of calcium, the inner diameter of the pipe narrows, and the path through which the water flows is much smaller. This restricted water flow manifests itself as a drop in water pressure because there is simply not enough water passing through to provide the water pressure you need.
